Supporting Trafford’s growing EV charging network with Amey

TRT Lighting has supplied more than 30 E-Via EV charging pillars as part of the first phase of Trafford’s public charging rollout, working alongside Amey to deliver flexible, future-ready charging infrastructure across the borough.

With Trafford committed to installing up to 100 new public charge points, Amey required a UK-manufactured solution that could accommodate different installation and operational requirements.

TRT’s modular E-Via platform offers a choice of charging capacities, socket configurations and payment options, all within the same robust enclosure. Crucially, units can be upgraded or reconfigured as demand changes, without replacing the entire charger.

The first phase has already seen high levels of charger usage, demonstrating strong local demand. With further installations planned, the partnership has established a flexible charging network that supports Trafford’s wider EV ambitions while helping to minimise long-term maintenance and replacement costs.
