Soldiers Bridge gets illuminated handrail upgrade

Soldiers Bridge in Fort William, spans 120m and has a 1.5m wide pathway.

The client, Highland Council, opted to keep the current continuous handrail so a retrofit solution was designed.

With warm 2700K F48 Modula’s fitted into standalone units, the correct light levels were achieved without undue glare. By strategically using asymmetric distribution, the bridge was lit from one side to illuminate the walkway efficiently whilst keeping capital costs to a minimum.
