Facet Zero – Smaller footprint, bigger Impact

TRT Lighting has relaunched its Facet bulkhead as Facet Zero, a redesigned amenity luminaire that reduces material use, improves performance and eliminates upward light. 

Facet Zero is a complete rethink of the original design, developed with a focus on circularity, optical performance and environmental impact. The result is a more efficient luminaire with a lower embodied carbon footprint. 

Reduced materials, lower impact 

Facet Zero uses significantly less material than its predecessor: 

• 50% less metal  

• 66% less plastic  

• 48% overall reduction in product mass  

These changes contribute to a TM66 circularity score of 2.8, supporting more sustainable specification and procurement. 

The more compact design also makes the luminaire easier to handle, transport and install, helping to reduce impact across manufacturing and logistics. 

Zero upward light 

Facet Zero has been designed to produce zero upward light, reducing obtrusive light and limiting the impact of artificial light at night. 

Available in 2700K as standard, it supports schemes where visual comfort and ecological considerations are a priority, including residential and public realm applications. 

Improved performance 

Alongside material reductions, Facet Zero delivers improved photometric performance, with efficacies of up to 162.8 lm/W and optimised optical distributions. 

This enables wider spacing and improved uniformity, allowing required lighting levels to be achieved with fewer luminaires and lower energy consumption. 

Simplified design and maintenance 

Facet Zero features a one-piece LED lens and cover system, integrating the optical assembly into a single unit. This reduces component count and simplifies installation and maintenance. 

Replaceable control gear and optional Lumi-LinQ wireless controls support long-term asset management and flexible operation. 

Designed for real applications 

Facet Zero is suitable for a wide range of applications, including pathways, building perimeters, car parks and public realm spaces.
