The M25/M20 link tunnel is the first UK motorway tunnel to embrace full LED lighting technology for the Interior, Boost and Emergency Evacuation lighting.

Although the tunnel is only short, the continual lines of light also assist as a lane guidance system which varies in light intensity according to the external ambient lighting conditions. The PDS Scanlight ECO lighting control system provides a stand-alone automatic interface with the Verso luminaires via a DALI backbone which continually operates and regulates the light output accordingly.
