The Modula F48 is a high performance, fully controllable, British LED module, designed to fit perfectly into standard metric diameter handrail. The design ensures the handrail can be fully welded to stop dirt and water ingress.
The latest generation of 5W PCB boards have the added benefit of a 3 hour emergency battery back-up.
The PCB within the module can be adapted to carry numerous variations of the latest LED colour and intensity to satisfy your precise requirement.
These modules have over 20 years of proven use in all environments.

Sparling Bridge
F48 Modula stainless steel LED handrails run either side of the bridge, avoiding light spill onto the river in this highly sensitive ecological area.
Each handrail, powered by a single 150W driver in a shared IP67 containment box, ensures the minimum of running costs for Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Abbey Park Cycle & Pathway
This new bridge over the River Soar provides a safe route for cyclists and pedestrians, bypassing the narrow existing bridge, which dates from 1878. Equipped with a new stainless steel LED handrail containing asymmetric F48 modules, this is another prime example of our engineering abilities, directing light where it needs to be.
Kings Cross Cycle & Pathway
The LED handrail perfectly illuminates this busy cycle path in Central London. The key feature is the absence of light pollution and no spill onto the adjacent canal creating a unique and exciting atmosphere.
The handrail is satin polished marine grade stainless steel and was fitted with F48 Modula prior to installation and commissioning.
Wembley Park Boulevard
Freestanding LED balustrades are situated on one of Wembley Park Boulevard’s busiest public areas to enhance the visual imagery and pedestrian safety.
F48 high intensity LED modules were installed into polished stainless steel handrails.
IP66, IK10, EMC and photo biologically tested, these lights are designed for simple installation and maintenance.
