Hortonwood, Telford

An efficient, low-maintenance lighting scheme for Hortonwood using the new Aspect Gen2 luminaire. The installation improved energy performance, reduced long-term costs, enhanced sustainability, and provided flexible, future-proof lighting with easy on-site power adjustment and durable modular components.

Lincolnshire Retrofit Scheme

Lincolnshire County Council is upgrading its street lighting with TRT Lighting and Balfour Beatty, retrofitting over 5,400 lanterns with efficient LED technology. The project delivers 65% energy savings, reduces waste through reuse, enables quick installations under 10 minutes, and ensures long-term reliability.

Oakwod Park, Derby

Sustainable lighting installed in Derby’s Oakwood Park using DarkSky International-accredited Oaken lanterns to reduce energy and carbon, support wildlife, and helping achieve net zero goals.

Brayford Wharf North, Lincolnshire

TRT Lighting are proud to have supported Lincolnshire County Council in their ambitious drive to upgrade their public lighting to LED technology. As part of this initiative, Balfour Beatty Living Places have replaced the existing ceramic metal halide lamps along Brayford Wharf North with TRT’s Luz lantern.

Horsefair Underpass, Kingston-Upon-Thames

The upgrade of Horsefair Underpass from outdated SON and fluorescent luminaires to state-of-the-art X-Range Boost models not only reduced energy costs and enhanced visibility but also ensured compliance with Annex D of BS5489-2:2016. This adherence to regulatory standards underscores TRT’s commitment to delivering solutions that prioritise both functionality and compliance.

The Mumbles, Swansea

The Mumbles is now brighter, safer, and more sustainable thanks to a new lighting installation designed to withstand the harsh coastal environment while preserving the area’s natural beauty.

Via bollards were selected to resolve the unique challenges that coastal locations pose including corrosion, wind exposure and durability in a heavily trafficked area.

Soldiers Bridge, Fort William

The bridge, spanning 120m with a 1.5m wide pathway, maintained its continuous handrail with a retrofit solution.

Warm 2700K F48 Modula’s fitted into standalone units, achieved optimal lighting levels without excessive glare. An asymmetric distribution illuminated the walkway efficiently whilst keeping capital costs to a minimum. Perfect lighting to complement Ben Nevis!

Holmesdale Tunnel (LED Retrofit)

Holmesdale Tunnel, located on the M25, is 684m long and opened in 1984. Initially refurbished in 2010 with high-pressure sodium lamps as LED luminaires were not viable at the time. With advancements in LED technology, a new retrofit solution now provides significant benefits such as annual energy savings and, of course, CO2 reductions predicted to be greater than 60%.

Cattle Market Road

Cattle Market Road underpass in Bristol is just over 100m long and consists of a pedestrian footpath, a cycle path and a separate roadway.

A full linear end to end white light LED solution was specified and TRT supplied the Verso luminaires tailoring the running current to ensure that the structure was not over lit whilst achieving good uniformity levels.

Sparling Bridge

F48 Modula stainless steel LED handrails run either side of the bridge, avoiding light spill onto the river in this highly sensitive ecological area.

Each handrail, powered by a single 150W driver in a shared IP67 containment box, ensures the minimum of running costs for Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Chobham Bridge

Spot modules with asymmetric 2700K light flow were installed. 2700K is the preferred colour temperature to take into account the requirements of habitats alongside a wildlife corridor as well as user comfort for cyclists/pedestrians using the walkway.

The bridge design, whilst featuring steel handrails with built-in bat friendly lighting, is in keeping with the surrounding area.

Wembley Park Boulevard

Freestanding LED balustrades are situated on one of Wembley Park Boulevard’s busiest public areas to enhance the visual imagery and pedestrian safety.

F48 high intensity LED modules were installed into polished stainless steel handrails.

IP66, IK10, EMC and photo biologically tested, these lights are designed for simple installation and maintenance.
